S&S Trails was contracted by Montgomery County Precinct 3 to add a section of trail in the George Mitchell Nature Preserve. It has long been a goal of both the county and the Woodlands Development Corporation to give trail users a view of Spring Creek from both sides of the preserve. S&S Constructed a roughly 600 foot section of trail off the main outer loop that allows users to see the confluence of two tributaries and Spring Creek.

This past weekend S&S Trails helped out the Dallas Off-Road Biking Association with a trail school tailored to their specific audience of trail stewards. The trail stewards, along with some Texas Parks and Wildlife staff, learned how to design and construct a multi-use trail system at Sid Richardson Scout Ranch. We had 25 people attend the class which consisted of a day of lecture and a day of trail building.

Yesterday, S&S Trails finished the new section of trail at Bluff Creek Ranch in Warda, Tx. The new section is over a half mile long and boasts 2 insloped bermed turns, one of which is on a 35% slope! Most of the trail is on sideslopes of over 60%, giving it a feel of being in the mountains, not smack in the middle of Texas.
