This past week the S&S crew was in Little Rock, Arkansas to give a talk on new trailbuilding gadgets and techniques. We teamed with Woody Keen from Trail Dynamics for our session. We had lots of good discussion, and some good tips that took people by surprise.

We were able to attend a few varied sessions and took part in the horse caucus one morning. We also got to catch up with some old friends. Ben Blitch has started his own company doing some exciting things with Pocket Bike Parks as he calls them. We also did a great ride with some of the IMBA folks. All in all it was a good week.

There’s a lot of stuff that goes into a trail symposium that I think most trail users are unaware of. Jay Daniel, for instance, talked about volunteers helping clean up after Hurricane Ike and Brandon Ross from San Antonio discussed in depth the plan for greenways in his city.
