Bluff Creek Ranch, located in the rolling hills 60 miles east of Austin, is a working cattle ranch that has the distinction of being the first Mountain Bike Ranch in Texas. There are 8.9 miles of well shaded, rolling, single track trails that wind through hardwoods and pines.
Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center preserves the natural habitat of over 200 acres and has over 2 miles of hiking trails reaching some of the highest elevations in Dallas County.

Memorial Park consists of 14.11 acres of land. This park provides a cool and shaded atmosphere with the abundance of trees. The 0.60 mile trail runs alongside Brushy Creek, which provides a stimulating view for any runner, walker, or bike rider.
Norman
Rough Hollow is a 1.4 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Austin, Texas that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and running.
